Robert Gorwa is a postdoctoral researcher at the Berlin Social Science Center, and a fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. He studies the politics of technology policy, with a special interest in platform governance and emerging socio-technical regulatory arrangements in the digital economy. He holds a DPhil from Oxford’s Department of Politics and International Relations, and is the author of The Politics of Platform Regulation: How Governments Shape Online Content Moderation (Oxford University Press, 2024). He is an affiliated researcher with CSDI from July to September 2025.
