Heidi Tworek is a Canada Research Chair and Professor of History and Public Policy at the UBC, where she directs the Centre for the Study of Democratic Institutions (CSDI). Her work examines history and policy around communications, particularly the effects of new media technologies on democracy. She is a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation as well as a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Society of Canada’s New College of Scholars, Artists, and Scientists.
